The Context & Challenge
Starbites is Ghana’s largest wholly-owned restaurant and cafe chain, growing from a single neighborhood eatery into an iconic culinary powerhouse with locations across Accra, Tema, and Kumasi. Offering breakfast, casual dining, craft cocktails, and nightlife entertainment, Starbites had outgrown its simple informational web page. They needed a dynamic, appetizing digital experience that mirrored their vibrant restaurant culture.
Strategic Approach & Execution
SA designed and built a mobile-first digital platform centered on culinary appetite appeal and branch discovery. We established an art direction style pairing rich dark backgrounds with warm ambient lighting, letting high-definition food and cocktail photography take center stage. Customers could easily explore menus by category—breakfast, pizza, local grills, cocktail specials—complete with dietary indicators.
The Deliverables & Craft
Key features included an interactive location finder providing opening hours, directions, and direct telephone lines for each branch; an event inquiry booking system for private parties and corporate dinners; and seamless integration with delivery aggregator platforms. SA also produced short-form cinemagraphs and video reels capturing the sizzle of wood-fired grills and cocktail flair.
Outcomes & Long-Term Impact
The redesigned digital platform experienced an immediate surge in daily traffic, with thousands of diners utilizing the portal for menu previews, reservations, and location directions. The cohesive visual polish elevated Starbites above international franchise competitors, reaffirming its place as Ghana’s favorite home-grown dining institution.
