Ghana On The Go National Investment Campaign
The national campaign needed a fast-paced, contemporary editorial rhythm capable of holding international investor attention while presenting diverse sectors—from agribusiness to tech hubs—in a cohesive national narrative.
Re-cut and polished the master campaign film, calibrating narrative pacing, implementing vibrant West African color grades, and syncing sound design to create an energetic, modern portrait of an emerging economy.
Screened at international trade missions, diplomatic summits, and global investment forums, directly enhancing the GIPC's outward narrative during the landmark 'Year of Return' campaign.
The Context & Challenge
In 2019, coinciding with the global ‘Year of Return’ that brought hundreds of thousands of African diaspora travelers and investors to Accra, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) launched ‘Ghana On The Go!’—a multi-platform campaign designed to highlight the country’s economic dynamism, peaceful governance, and lucrative commercial opportunities. Commissioned through Documenta AV, SA was brought in to lead the post-production re-edit of the flagship national campaign video.
Strategic Approach & Execution
The raw material encompassed hours of diverse footage: coastal ports, fintech incubators, agro-industrial plants, highway infrastructure, and cultural landmarks. The challenge lay in editorial rhythm. Rather than creating a dry institutional overview, SA structured a fast-paced, emotionally resonant cut that moved seamlessly between heavy industry, tech entrepreneurship, and cultural vitality.
The Deliverables & Craft
We executed a comprehensive post-production workflow: re-sequencing the editorial narrative, applying a filmic color grade that enhanced Ghana’s vibrant sunlight without oversaturating natural skin tones, and building a dynamic layered sound design featuring Afro-electronic instrumentation and authoritative voiceover narration.
Outcomes & Long-Term Impact
The resulting campaign film was deployed across international investment missions, presidential trade delegations, embassy networks, and international broadcast slots. It served as a definitive promotional vehicle that helped change obsolete narratives about doing business in West Africa.
