The Aerojet Aviation Training Academy facility in Accra is pleased to announce that it has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Approval for the training of Aircraft technicians & engineers. This highly sought-after certification was achieved via Aerojet’s partnership with Joramco, the Amman-based aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility and engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE). This development keeps in line with Aerojet Aviation’s steady momentum in achieving its larger objective, ‘The Accra MRO Project’. The Accra MRO Project being developed in Accra and prioritized by the government of Ghana to make the country an Aviation Hub, is on track to become the first-ever full-service Independent Aircraft Maintenance Facility in West & Central Africa. Joramco Academy, the aircraft maintenance, training school operated by Joramco, entered into an agreement in June 2022 to support the establishment of the Aerojet Aviation Training Academy. This is the first of its kind institution to offer advanced studies in Aircraft Maintenance in Ghana and the Sub Region.
Commenting on the new site activation, Joramco Chief Executive Officer, Fraser Currie said, “Joramco Academy is proud to be among the few training institutions in the Middle East awarded an EASA accreditation. This approval allows the academy to offer a wide range of aircraft maintenance courses and qualifications which are internationally recognized. With this accreditation, Joramco Academy has expanded its operations by opening its first site outside of Jordan, while also exploring multiple other locations. This expansion further demonstrates our commitment to providing quality education and training in Jordan and beyond.”
